I say that when you find out that there will be try-outs, you should start conditioning right away. The key thing to do is to stay calm and believe that you'll do the best that you can. Try practicing with your friends or go to a local cheer or gymnastics/tumble gym. If there are none in your area, there are plenty of videos on YouTube to show you the basic motions and cheers. However, if you need help with your tumbling, I highly suggest that you ask the cheerleading representative at your school if they could help you out. Please post anymore tips that you think are helpful for try-outs.

♥Never, never, never, never EVER wipe that smile off your face in front of the Judges. Cheer leaders are supposed to look cheerful and not sad or bored.
♥Never let the judges know you are nervous
♥Always do your best
♥Throw your best tumbling and jumps to impress the judges
♥Wear school colors to tryouts
♥SPIRIT*SPIRIT*SPIRIT!!!
♥NEVER say woo! (it sounds like boo! or moo!..lol, moo)
♥Have fun and hope for the best!

=)
